      New dream after your advice

Ok so I joined this site yesterday, never lurked, just found and joined right in, I read some tips in the newbie part and so e people responded which I found very welcoming.
Last night I go to bed and close my eyes telling myself I will remember my dream, anyway the next thing is, I,m in a discussion with 2 colleagues at work, discussing IT, the surroundings were unfamiliar and I felt weird, at this point I thought, I may be dreaming, so I jumped into the air and gravity was not normal, I did it again and did the matrix pose lol. So I realize I,m dreaming and now it is a lucid dream. I remember this site and the tips so as i' following my colleagues to I bump into another guy on the way, I say to him, watch this, I go over to a fire on the ground, place my hand in it and pull out fire, no pain, he just smiles. I then continue walking and put my finger and thumb in my nostrils and blow out and breath in, all good, I begin to get excited at this point, I didn' t take the advicemon that one though as the next thing to happen was me waking up disappointed at doing so, so I wanted to thank you guys and this site for giving me some huge help in LD, I started a journal and will go again tonight, any more tips and advice would be greatly appreciated, peace.

Thats pretty much my first dream as well. I suddenly thought "Hey, this is a dream", did some reality checks without even thinking of them, they worked, I jumped up and sort of glided back for a brief second longer than normal, then I jumped out a window and lost my lucidity as I didn't stabilize. I woke up not as excited as I thought I would be, but still happy.

After reading your post the only things I can say are well done, your's seemed quite good, and to just keep it up really. Maybe put more focus on stabilization over what to do in a dream. I think that once it's stable, we won't have to much trouble thinking of stuff to do.

Make stabilization a priority along with R.C.s and whatever else you do, and you should be fine.

I definitely agree with stabilizing part, it wasn't my first LD but it was the first time I had put some tips and advice into practice, so I was very eager to say thank you. I guess it was the first time that I had remembered something from my awake state and put it into practice while dreaming, it really amazed me. The people in my dream never responded like I expected either, before I found myself trying to prove it was my dream, this time everyone just had a grin, so I think maybe I had more confidence after some advice and tips. I can't wait to do more and share. Great site. Thanks
