Very new here...just wanted to know whether all are true

I have just realised there was such thing as lucid dreaming like 3 days ago and now i'm completely engrossed in these stuffs. I read different lucid dreaming sites and got slightly confuse on some facts about it. Lucid dreaming is not dream control right? But it allows dream control, with practice. Is that right? We are able to summon objects from the sky and meet celebrities and all those? Please help me here....

      thankz!

You should check out the main site for all the basic info. http://www.dreamviews.com

Basically, to be lucid in a dream is just to be aware that you are in fact dreaming. The amount of control you have within that lucid comes with practice. There is too much information to tell here, so take a look around the site if you are really interested. And welcome to the forum. If you have an other questions feel free to ask me, or any other Dream Guide (we are the ones in green with the stars under our names).

Yes, lucid dreaming does in fact exist, and the limits to what you can do in lucid dreams are boundless. The definition is simply a dream where you are aware it is a dream. Once you simply achieve one of those, you are on your way toward learning techniques to use within those dreams, but they all take practice. Once you become more adept at controlling things in lucid dreams, you can pretty much do anything you imagine, but it takes confidence, patience, and desire. You could summon up anyone you want, be anywhere you want, do anything you want. But that is a little ways down the road. The most important thing to learn is how to attain a lucid dream in the first place. You'll learn plenty about that if you stick around here.
Never stop searching for truth. In your search you may think you have found it, and perhaps you have, but if you hold on tightly to a single thread it will fray and it's greater meaning will become lost. There is always more truth stretching deep beneath the surface that promises to reveal ever greater the infinite, interwoven fabric of truth, woven in the looms of Heaven.

With practice comes control as Aquanina had said but also the frequency at wich you have them can increase with practice as well.
There are several techniques that can be practiced to help you gain lucidity on a more regular basis.
