And just yesterday I had one of my longest lucid dreams ever. Although I am having trouble remembering specifics, I recall using some techniques I read about on this site, everytime I felt I was going out of the lucid state I would close my eyes and focus myself and continue. Also, what is the difference between a Lucid Dream and an OBE?
Hi Hybrination!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some people feel that Lucid dreaming and OBE's go hand in hand. Meaning that an OBE (Out Of Body Experiance) is another form or interpretation of having a lucid dream
I however do not. I have had what I percieve to be both. They felt completley differant to me. And since awareness accopanies both I am not as skeptical as I would be if i were not conscious in both states.
In lucid dreaming, simply put, You are in the state of a dream but aware that you are. Being conscious or awake in your dream.
An out of body experiance is most often considered your conscious leaving that of your physical body. Now astral projection could follow along these lines if your mind, conscious sole or whatever you believe it to be travels along an astral plane of sorts to differant locations.
The OBE experiance I had was limited. I was aware of my consciousness and there was a distinct seperation between my phyce and physical shell. Was this some exagerated lucid dream??? I guess you have to determine that on your own
Check out the Beyond Dreaming Forum. It has many topics related to OBE's.
