      Greetings all!

Hello, Lurchibald here and what an amazing site
Thanks to this site i was able to learn how to LD properly I had my first LD last night and while it didn't last long it was really fun being conscious of the fact i was dreaming, I knew i was dreaming thanks to trying to read a pill bottle but the words weren't forming properly at all (they were blurry and muddled) so i thought i would test out my LD by walking to my (very messy) room and clean it up just using my mind.... and it worked
I then had a false awakening (i can't really explain how i knew... something was just off about it) then i woke up for real.

      It was a brilliant experience.

      Hey Lurchibald, welcome to Dreamviews!

Wow! Congrats on your first LD! Yeah, letters normally don't make any sense in dream or mean anything. How long have you been trying to lucid dream? Also how is your dream recall? Are you keeping a dream journal?

Did you stabilize the dream? Everytime you realize you are lucid you should always stabilize it. Stabilizing it makes the lucid last longer, and makes it more vivid. Here is a dream stabilization tutorial you can read.

Welcome to DV, and congratulations on your first LD!

Blurry and muddled text makes a great RC sometimes, and is an easy way to establish lucidity. Make sure you back it up with other RC's such as the nose RC though

I recommend reading The Beginner's Guide to Lucid Dreaming if you haven't already.

It's going to be hard to beat that first LD feeling... be happy you've finally had one though, it's a big break in that big thick piece of self-awareness ice.

I still think everytime I realize I am dreaming it is as exciting as the first.
