Thread: Can Lucid Help Me With This and How?

Well I sort of have a mixed reply for you. First of all...DCs (dream characters) can be a bit tough to deal with sometimes. It can be difficult to conjure someone, and even if you are able to make them appear in your dream you never know how they will act...and alot of times they will change into other people, which can be VERY frustrating.

But at the same time I think that you could learn to use your lucid experiences to make it easier for you to approach girls. In a lucid, basically you are God (as long as it's one where you have control)...so you could walk up to just about any girl and talk to them. And I do think that what we do and learn in our dreams carries over to our waking life whether we realize it or not, just as what occurs in waking life carries into our dream worlds. So perhaps you can rid youself of some of this shyness.

I think the only problem you might come across is that your DCs might not cooperate too well?

I agree with Aquanina that LDing can help you become less shy. LDing for many people can become a therapy where it can strengthen your self cofindence.
...I know this sounds corny but it's true. Just like Aquaina said you are God when LDing. Giving you a sense of belonging, power, and especially confidence. And LDing traits can carry out to your everday life, so confidence can certainly squeeze its way in there.

Nina and gir gave you some good advice, but I just want to add something that pertains to both dreaming and real life. In most situations, things are not as bad as they seem. Me, I hate talking on the phone! If I have to call someone I'm not very familiar with, I just hate it. However, when I do call them it usually turns out better than I imagined and I didn't really have anything to worry about. I'm a shy person, too, but I've been working on this for years and have gotten better.

The moral of this story, don't worry. Sometimes things won't turn out so well, but more often than not you'll be just fine. If you imagine the girls in your dreams as if they'll reject you, then it's likely that they will. In both cases, just have confidence. As a girl, I'd rather have a guy come up to me who didn't appear like he was about to wet his pants, regardless what he's going to say. Smile, stand up straight, and say what you're there to say
