I managed to record one of maybe four or five dreams which I remember waking up from but I guess that is what you expect with DEILD attempts.
I've woken up in really awkward positions, too. Once, I woke up with my arm bent 90 degrees, and my hand was under my stomach, completely asleep and numb. If it does happen again, the best thing is to just ignore your physical body, no matter how painful it might be, and instead imagine your dream body. Think about how if you didn't wake up then and there, you'd be in that position for the rest of the night anyways. Keep trying, you'll get it!
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

That sounds fair, I think that ignoring my physical body will be hard to achieve but I guess it will come with practice.
