Wink New user saying hello to the community!

So I've heard about this Lucid Dream a long time ago, but I've decided to try it, as my girlfriend is a sleep walker and has night terror.

We want to know if she can control the nightmares that are part of her night terrors and I'd like to go along and learn it too, as it seems quite interesting!

I've read all tutorials, but I want to be able to attain lucidity by DILD only. Any extra tips?

      Anyway, hello everyone!!

First off, Welcome to DV! That's great you'd like to learn along with her. I do believe that if she's able to realize it's a dream, she could change the scene to something much happier, or face it. For attaining lucidity, I recommend using the MILD technique coupled with DILD. Also, if you haven't already, keep a dream journal to work up your recall! Have fun dreaming! =D

Welcome to Dreamviews Lucidity should help your girlfriend quite a bit in overcoming her night terrors.

You've probably figured this out already since you read the tutorials, but two of the most important things in working toward LDs are to keep a dream journal to practice dream recall, and to do frequent reality checks. Make sure the reality checks don't just become a mindless habit, or you'll find yourself doing them automatically in your dreams and then continuing on without becoming lucid. Stop and seriously question your surroundings each time you RC. Also, try to remember to RC right after you wake up, since you could have a false awakening. Try to record your dreams right after waking up as well, or you could forget important details.

Good luck to you and your GF

Welcome to dreamviews. With practice it can become really easy to lucid dream from nightmares. Many kids figure out how to do this and just wake themselves up. All it takes is increased awareness throughout the day.
