      Lucid Dreaming

Lucid Dreaming wasn't very essential for me. I never realized I had the ability to control my dreams completely until a few days ago.
The dream took place in my High School and I was walking up stairs. I was running from someone. I knew I should turn around and look at them but I had a feeling that I would end up seriously hurt if I did.
Long story short, I ended up falling in my dream and ended up cut because of the attacker's knife. Now I pose my question:
Is it possible to be hurt in dreams and the effects of the dreams be shown on your body? I didn't think it was but then I woke up with a thin pink line across my chest--in the exact same place as the cut from my dream.
Most of you will put this off as I hurt myself in my sleep. Here's the thing--I don't move in my sleep and my cat isn't near me either so that accounts any possibilty of harm to my physical being.
So, can you be hurt from a dream?

      Welcome to Dreamviews.

I don't think it's possible to get a visible mark from getting hurt in a dream. I think you need to be physically hurt in order to be able to see anything.
But I do know that it's possible to wake up with pain after being hurt in a dream. I've had that happen to me a few times, but I was never able to see anything after waking up.

      I hope this helps.

I have read somewhere that it is possible for something like that to happen. It said that is possible to wake up with some marks after very vivid and realistic dreams.
But only marks, red like that or very small bruises. You cant end up with a broken bone, real cut injuries, etc.
I don't think its something to be scared about.

But this is the first time I read that someone actual had such experience.

I've read that it is possible. It's something with your brain. I don't know much about it.
Someone also do it when they're dreaming. Not cutting, but maybe with a nail or something.

My mom once tried something like that. I can't tell you, if it's possible or not, and I don't know what I think about it.

Special thanks to Darkmatters for my signature picture.

It is more likely that something was pressing against your chest in real life, and you felt it even though you were asleep. You probably brought that sensation into the dream and translated it into being stabbed.

I'm not very sure which is why I posed the question. Thank you for your help, though

Thank you everyone who posted! Oh, but to Robot_Butler, I was completely secluded so nothing could get on me. I'm a light sleep so I'd feel something. I don't know though, but thank you!
