      I post, therefore I am

      Ahhh ... thats better

Great looking website and forum. Im a total newbie to lucid dreaming but it sounds too fascinating not to give it a go

Ive just started reading 'exploring the world of lucid dreaming' and im amazed by some of the experiences other people have had with LD's.

First thing for me though is to start remembering some dreams .....

Mmm .. can you lucid dream within a lucid dream??

      Welcome to Dream Views!!!

That's a great book, I'm sure you will learn alot more from it the more you read. We are happy to have you here, and hopefully you will be able to learn from the forum and eventually answer your own question "can you LD in an LD" through experience. I personally, think that you can in fact do this (but that's a LONG story...and if you are really interested in THAT you might want to PM LucidApple). You can always PM me or any of the other Dream Guides if you have any questions at all (we're the ones in green with the stars under our names).

Also, thanks for the compliment about the forum...it does look great, doesn't it? Icedawg just redesigned the whole thing not too long ago so I'm sure he'll appreciate the compliment. There are also a whole bunch of great people here. So get all comfy and make yourself at home!

You can dream about dreaming about a lucid dream, but then that may make FA's occur. There are many possibilities in the world of what we comprehend as infinite.

I am glad to have you on the forum. Definetely one who reads that wonderful book shows that he or she has dedication. I know that your research will lead you down a great path.

To help you remember some dreams I recommend this. http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13095

The above link may help you with your dream recall. It is just a way I developed to help dream recall.

I hope you have a wonderful time at dreamviews and make lots of new friends who have the same desires as you. Feel free to PM me anytime if you have questions.

      See you around,

      Yume

      HI [size=18]PRECOG

Welcome to DV's Great to have ya! Yup exploring the world of lucid dreaming is a great book. Do you know anyone personally who ever talked about being aware that they are dreaming? You will definately love it here. Welcome to the family. Oh and LDing within an LD is possible perhaps possible but I never allowed myself to fall asleep again within my initial LD because I figured. ummm. Im already sleep why go again?...lol But it does raise some pretty good questions here. I wonder. Maybe your control can become all that much powerful when you are LDing within an LD.. This is something to ponder on for sure.

      Sit back..
      Kick your feet up.
      and Enjoy the ride...

Oh by the way thats a Kick Ass name: Precog!

Ok, well I don't want to speak FOR anyone...but from what I have learned you can in fact lay down while you are LDing and meditate, or try to do a WILD or something along those lines to induce another lucid state. Supposedly this leads to out of body experiences or takes you to an even higher level of dreaming consciousness and can even give you near death experiences. Like I said, the person you would want to talk to about that would be LucidApple, I know he has done it a few times. But like I said...that's a WHOLE nother discussion!

Thanks guys for your warm, welcoming replies. I look foward to sharing with you my experiences with Lucid dreaming and reading about everyone elses.

I went to bed last night with the intention to remember all my dreams... and although I didnt remember them all, I did remember one of them in a little detail ...so I thought that was a good start. Ive written it down in a dream journal ive decided to keep.

I was actually thinking of buying a voice recorder because when your half asleep Id imagine its easier to record your dreams verbally than get up and write them down. Anyone else have any experience with this?

      Sweet dreams ... Precog 8)
