      Setting my sights?

Well I have jsut started to become interested in lucid dreams and things like that. I was wondering how long it takes most people to be able to have a lucid dream. I have excelletn dream recall, and my dream journal is working good, but I was just wondering like how long I will have to work at it before I have a lucid dream.

Simply tell yourself (and believe) that you will be aware and awake in your next dream.

If you keep a dream journal and regularly recall your dreams, you should have no trouble.

      * Make sure you maintain lucidity by telling yourself you are in a dream
      * Do not TRY to become lucid, simply prove that you are in a dream
One of the important things is to practice for being lucid during the day and stuff, so that you'll get used to doing those things (i.e. reality checks, very important), and then you'll do them in a dream, and be able to become lucid.

      Welcome and good luck!

WOO as it turns out I did have a lucid dream last night lol, I tried hrothgarts(sp?) method and it worked, my first one was about 3 or 4 minutes long and and then I woke up(or fell out of it) im not sure. THen my second one was only like 30 seconds and not quite as clear, and I didnt even have time to spin I was just shot out of it.

Hey CONGRATS!!! That's awesome. Sounds like you are well on your way...just keep writing in that Dream Journal and doing reality checks. And good luck!
