im lucid?
ok, i dont know how
but last night i was having a dream and all of a sudden became lucid.
i didnt notice anything was weird, i just was, and then i did my reality checks.
how come i just knew i was dreaming?

Sometimes it just happens randomly. I had a few lucids that way long before I had ever heard of lucid dreaming or reality checks. Of course, being aware of these things helps to keep it in the forefront of your mind, and makes it more likely. The more you think about lucid dreaming, the more likely you are to experience it.

Well that's just my take on it. It sounds like you wnt to know why it happened so you can make it happen that way again - maybe somebody can give better advice idk - I've only had 8 lucids myself so far!!

It's sometimes possible to just recognize the 'feel' of a dream. You might not know immediately what makes you realize it. You suddenly just become aware that you're dreaming.

no, its just that i would like some sort of amazing sort of explainaton that took years of studying and its really advanced and stuff

Lizh describing what it is like in can be difficult, I see you've had a few lucid dreams, so the best way for "a good answer" would be to take it from your experience.
The reason why you questioned it was a dream is because something odd will have made you increase in awareness, the chance of this happening is dependent on how aware you are in real life, to increase the chance of this, be more aware in real life...
