      Have to agree.

I do know for sure that you could probably work as a researcher in a sleep lab and study people's sleeping habits and what not. I know its not the same but its the most closley related job to actually lucid dreaming and getting paid.

Also, have you ever considered becoming a matress tester? Getting paid to sleep, pretty much.

Well I don't think you could actually get paid to lucid dream, unless like Quantiq said, you were some kind of researcher. Nina has made this awesome thread called Career Paths for the Lucid Dreamer, if you're interested.

Yeah but not directly to lucid dream, because that's your own experience and benefit, maybe if you research or teach, but even then I can't expect a high paid job. I'd look else where if it's not for fun!

Yo guys, I'm 15, I'm not serously considering getting a job In Lucid dreaming, of in that manner, any job at all, I hea about that doctor "le burge" I think is his name, and I was just curious. On a side note, Quantiq that mattress tester joke was pretty funny

      LOL..."le burge"...

Stephen LaBerge has made his mark by scientifically proving that lucid dreaming is real (as he demonstrated that oneironauts can signal from the dream world when lucid). Other than that, after having been successful, he conducted his own research, came up with the MILD technique, developed DreamLight and then NovaDreamer, recorded tapes about lucid dreaming, participated in seminars, published a few books, and founded The Lucidity Institute.

Any lucid dreaming that he might have done himself, nobody paid him to do it. And to conduct such research, it must have taken a lot of convincing in order to have it funded and for labs to be made available. For his accomplishments, a lot must have come out of his pocket before he made any profits.

If you are interested in oneirology (the scientific study of dreams), then knowing how to lucid dream and teaching your subjects how to do it is a great advantage. But you will also be required to understand the different stages of sleep and have some understanding of brain physiology. Nobody is going to pay you to just lucid dream. If you want to be an oneirologist or a psychophysiologist, then the best people to speak to is probably Stephen LaBerge, Alan Worsley, Michael Raduga and others.

I work with Michael Raduga in coordinating results from lucid dreaming experiments for future publishing. We have a growing list of volunteers and several dedicated departments - one of which I am the head of. I can assure you that none of the volunteers are being paid to aid the "phase state" research. The project is still in its infancy but there will be financial funding next year. Only us Chiefs will get paid!

Did LaBerge's subjects get paid? I assume they were volunteers?

Ok, I see Summerlander has already answered this.

I guess if you were an artist or musician you could use it for inspiration, but no one is going to pay you just for lucid dreaming.

We've seen experiments in which scientists are getting closer and closer to get a glimpse into a person's dream and reproduce it in screen right?

Create a contest of dream control. The winner (all participants must have a lucid dream within 3 days) will be the person who gives the most spectacular result.

PS: read this in 2050, If this really comes true, let me know
