      Hello Everyone

Quick introduction, I've been into astral projection since I was a child. I have always been into metaphysics and recently have gotten into lucid dreaming. Currently, I'm experimenting with time distortion. My current approach is to induce a dream that is vivid enough to see my hands, such as a WILD. Then using my mind spawn an artifact, such as a "pasiv" device from the movie Inception, or perhaps just a simple time machine. Then I'll state my intention and "will" time to slow down. Not sure if it's even possible but it seems like a worthy experiment.

Unfortunately, I'm not a kid anymore so both astral projection and lucid dreaming have become far more difficult. My current plan is to exert more control over my chaotic sleep cycle and lay off on stimulant use. If I'm successful I'll be sure to post my results!

      Hello sir. Welcome to Dreamviews!!!

Check out Puffin's Beginner's guide to lucid dreaming if you are new to lucid dreaming. Make sure to check out the wiki as well!

As for your idea of time distortion I have some advice. First off, your idea is definitely possible, you can do anything in a lucid dream! You should continue on with your experiment. Your approach sounds like a good idea, using passive control is one of the best ways for beginning lucid dreamers to control their dreams! If you want some more help on dream control, check out the Dream Control tutorial. It has some information on passive control as well as active control. Also be sure to be stabilizing your lucid dreams when you become lucid! There are many ways to do this and they all pretty much involve connecting yourself to the dream world. You can do this by feeling things that are near you, this is really easy to do and works like a charm. Check out the Dream stabilization and clarity tutorial for some more techniques and information.

      Good luck! Happy dreaming!

      Hi there my friend,

Glad you've joined DV. It would help if you read the official Dream Control Tutorial to know more on how to control your dreams and what you can do as a Lucid Dreamer. In a Lucid Dream, you can do just everything you want to do. But it takes a lot of patience and confidence my friend. And remember to keep a steady sleep schedule to increase your dream recall.

Just practice everyday and you'll be Lucid Dreaming as if you were a kid again. If you do still have some questions, feel free to reply back or posting a thread or even messaging a dream guide(a person expert in LD) in dream guide list. Hope this helps

Welcome to Dreamviews! It's true that LDing and AP are easier when we're younger, but as adults we also have the advantage of wisdom and experience. We have the patience to stick with it and be successful.

Time dilation can definitely be done, several of us here have experienced it. I think it's a worthy thing to research.

The thing about dreams and time is that, at least in my experience, dreams can move about in time instantaneously. Also in space. Darn, I wish so many times that I could do this physically! Maybe someday?
