      Greetings

I just wanted to say hello to everyone and give you all a bit of information about me.

First of all, I love this site. I've been lurking for a few months now. I've been interested in dreaming for as long as I can remember. Dream recall has been something I've always been prety good at. I still remember quite clearly dreams I had when I was about 5 or 6.

As far as Lucid dreams go, I've had several. But, they usually aren't caused by any intervention on my part. I just realize I'm dreaming and get to work. Recently though I've been having dificulty staying lucid. I'll get to a point in the dream where everything seems to stop moving, and sometimes I can't even move. Then, the dream fades to black, or I wake up.

In the waking world I am a struggling artist, with a focus in Video. I've played the violin since I was six years old. I'm an active member of the O.T.O. and I attend the Gnostic Mass regularly. I see magic in all facets of life, waking and sleeping.

That's probably enough for now. So once again, Hello!

Hey there, welcome to the forum!! I am also an artist. Hey it's great that you are already a bit of a natural lucid dreamer.

If you stick around I'm sure you will find lots of help and learn ways to extend your lucids, induce lucids, and how you can keep your dreams from fading so fast. Have you considered starting a dream journal to help with your recall?

If you have any questions feel free to PM me or any of the dream guides and we will do our best to help out.

After spending a few hours on the forums last night and going to bed, sure enough I had a lucid dream. I even got to use the staring at the floor trick to help keep me lucid. Although the scenery changed around from when I looked down to when I looked up again. But it did keep me from losing it altogether.

      Welcome, magusarts!

Wow, nice work! Sticking a finger through the palm and pinching the nose shut and trying to breathe are also good reality checks when scenery can be a bit dodgy.

Here's hoping you have many, many more lucids!

Glad you joined. And good job on the lucid!!!

We just were discussing incorporating music in with Lucid dreaming.
There is so much to explore.

That sounds like quite an interesting topic? Can you link the thread you are discussing in?

I was going to go to a Legendary Pink Dots concert in my dream last night, but I got distracted as you can read in my dream journal. I bet it would have been a great show. But I think part of me didn't believe I could actually go to a concert in my dream, which is probably why I got distracted.

Yes. The subject title was caled ironically, "HI". But not as in hynagogic imagery.

      Re: Welcome

Welcome MagusArts ^_^' I just joined yesterday. I usually have trouble inducing lucid dreams... and hopefully one day inducing hypnosis... but that's not really what the forum's about. I'm also an artist... as a matter a fact I'm many things in the waking world:

      Artist/Writer/Programmer/Gamer/"Scientist"/"Chef"/Possible Pianoist

bleh... guess I shouldn't have written that... bragging sounds so wrong for me, when I brag anyways. Anyhow yeah that's usually what I do. When I have Lucid Dreams I don't have trouble keeping them at all... I guess your not fully lucid... since everything stopped moving and you couldn't move. Meh, sort of new at this too... sort of... when I lucid dream... I've always kept in mind that this is my dream... and my subconciousness... and nothing can harm me... and I can do anything I want... heh... it's fun entirely but you got to keep that in mind to prevent the dream from taking control of you... and if you feel like your losing control... try a dream spin... pretty helpful or yeah... do whatever you think is best. Like I read in one of my Life Management books about food:

"Control the food, don't let it control you"

lol, just change "food" to "dream" though.
