      Need some help.

Ok, so the first problem i have is that when i get SP it jolts me awake. At first i'm just relaxing and suddenly i get strong vibrations around my body, i have almost like painful heartbeats, and my eyes start to water. I am new to Wilding and this happened to me already twice. Is there a way to somehow not be startled by the sudden SP.

Also i believe i get HH or i dream not sure. What happens is that i try Wilding before i go to sleep and as i try it a get too tired/inpatient so i give up. But after some time of trying to falls asleep, i hear/feel there is something happing/talking behind me. This freaks me out. I get the courage to RC but somehow i snap out off it and it is not a dream. Just as i fall asleep it happens again and it tortures me the whole night. Is there a way to somehow get into the dream? i tried waiting but it seems as if i limbo between sleep and whatever i mentioned above ^.

Sorry for long post. Thank you for any replies

      Hey there!

I'm new to this too and I just went through my first SP 2 days ago. It was almost exactly like you said, but i think i was able to cope with it better. If you're going to attempt a WILD, i think you pretty much just have to tough it through the SP. But to avoid going through that, maybe you'll have to catch yourself mid dream. This would come with RCs and ADA training, so that you know to preform an awareness test and RC while in your dream state.

I heard the voices and felt the vibrations in my body, there was also a loud, low tone, descending in pitch gradually over time. the whole experience felt like it lasted about 20 minutes, but after that, the hallucinations started and i was very close to becoming lucid. This stuff takes time, I'm learning. Keep at it and read everything there is to read on this site. We'll get there, eventually.

      Hi there my friend,

SP is indeed, terrifying and shocking to people who've not experienced it in the past. I suggest that before WILDing, expect and prepare for SP and its effects. It might be scary but I bet you'll get used to it after a couple of tries. Just put in your mind that all of the effects that you are experiencing are just all in your head and nothing more. Just think that a dreamland is a few moments away.

Also i believe i get HH or i dream not sure. What happens is that i try Wilding before i go to sleep and as i try it a get too tired/inpatient so i give up. But after some time of trying to falls asleep, i hear/feel there is something happing/talking behind me. This freaks me out. This effects you are experiencing my friend, are hypnagogic hallucinations(hh). HH happens when a person's in a relaxed and calm state. Just let them be and ignore them. This effects usually mean that you are about to enter a lucid dream so just like what I've said, ignore them. When you WILD, be patient and confident as it will determine your attempt's success.

Just continue practicing and don't give uo. Hope this helps

      Hey crazymini,

I get very similar experiences when trying to wild:
i have almost like painful heartbeats,
Don't worry, your hearing just becomes more sensitive to your body (or something along those lines) basically you are just hearing your heart beat more.
and my eyes start to water
I get this and my eyes start to spasm and try to open, I found sleeping on in my preferred way (on my side) solved this.

The HH, you can either focus on it and 'listen in' and it should become more intense at which you will enter the dream (it will form around you). Or you can ignore it and allow it to progress by itself.

Well done, and if you have any further questions just ask!
