Newbie Here. Did I get close to a successful WILD?

So after reading on Lucid Dreaming, I decided to just lay down on the ground and try to pull of a WILD. I closed my eyes, relaxed, and after I few minutes I started to feel kind of funny. I then heard a strange noise, and then my heart started beating rapidly and I could feel my eyes moving/twitching uncontrollably behind my eyelids. I started seeing some vague patterns rather than the normal look of the inside of my eyelids. Then my heart started beating even faster, and I got scared, so I opened my eyes and got up. Was I close to acheiving a WILD?

Well you have to reach SP first, which those are all symptoms of it. So yes, in a way, keep on trying
      From my rotting body,
      flowers shall grow
      and I am in them
      and that is eternity.

      Hi there my friend,

You've just experienced what we call Sleep Paralysis(SP). Sleep Paralysis is often accompanied by weird effects called Hypnagogic Hallucinations that can be in the form of vibrations of the body, buzzy sounds in the ear, creepy images, fast heart rate etc. The effects a person can experience often varies from person to person. But always put in mind my friend, that all of this are just in your head and nothing more. When you experience SP, this means only one thing: a lucid dream is not far away, so don't let this opportunity get away. Stay focused and relaxed my friend

Feel free to reply back if you have questions and hope this helps

So wait, when I felt my heart beating extremely fast, it really wasn't? Cause it was still beating pretty fast when I got up.

And was the eye movement all in my head too, or were they actually moving as they do in REM sleep?

      Hi there again my friend.
About the fast beating of the heart. There are 2 possible answers: It's either it's just in your head/ a hallucination or you were starting to become nervous when you experienced SP. Now that you've mentioned that you've mentioned that your heart was beating very fast when you woke up. It's possible that your heart was actually beating fast due to your experience of SP. Now regarding about your eyes, there are also 2 possible answers. It's either it just another hallucination or it was the effect of REM. Hope this clears it up and feel free to reply back if you got further questions
