"DEJA VU"of dreams that iv had in the past (Apologizing in advanced for not being a lucid question)

Hello everyone, iv just signed up thinking this website was #1 to all things dream related but have obviously realized its more for lucid dreaming ( which Iv been aware I can do since I was about 12) Im not really sure what makes lucid dreaming have a full site dedicated too it for, but now I'm kind of excited too look it up ..now that I'm here ..

So now im wondering if someone can help me with my original question i wanted too ask even if it isn't too do with lucid dreaming (im copy and pasting this from my yahoo answers bc I get the worst feed back)

      QUESTION:

I would LOVE if someone could give a name or maybe an explaination for this,as I'm starting too feel like I'm going crazy and my "brain is leaking out memory's "...So here is what is going on with me in the best way I can explain it :

Iv always seemed to get alot of deja vus.(the feeling of reliving a situation that hasn't happened before) and I usually have lucid dreams towards the end of mysleep.

But lately the last few months I'll just be minding my own business and out of know where, I'll get this "deja vu feeling" where I stop and just remember a past dream.. That I really did have, but they're from like 3 years ago or something .. And I'll catch myself just staring off into space remembering these dreams for a second.
(keep in mind this déjà vu feeling is like " i feel like I'm there again all the sudden" but I can control when it stops bc I just stop remembering and it'll go away..
But it actually GOES AWAY! Like how a dream would, after you wake up... Which is the part that kinda creeps me out along with this feeling, because I won't remember what I had just remembered after I stop...

      Welcome, AlysazZz!
It isn't uncommon to remember dreams in the middle of the day, but it's very interesting if the dream was from 3 years ago. Perhaps the dream was a few days ago and you just remembered it, with the sensation that the dream was dreamt a long time ago, which isn't that uncommon. Dreams after waking up can feel like it was a long time ago. Naturally, like other dream memories, if you don't consistanly go over details of the dream upon waking up, the dream memory will go away.
If you're interested in keeping your dream memories, you should first of all start a dream journal. Upon waking up, you should try not to move too much and just close your eyes while laying there. Some previous dream memories of last night should come back, maybe in blotches and unchronologically. If this is the case, you should try and think through 'what happened after this' or 'what happened before this' and trace back your steps.
Good luck with whatever you're trying to do and i hope you stay around. This community is excellent and full of information.

Well that makes me feel a little better ... The part that made me a little more concerned was this déjà vu "feeling" like it will come from no where .. And feel like I'm back in the dream.. Even though I know I'm awake and on my couch I'll still feel as though I'm back in the dream and kinda go "oh yeah that one .. Oh yeah that part".. I'll re live it in my head for a second and then snap out of it and it'll vanish again.. all the little details.. Like a normal dream would.

I do however usually remember normal dreams really well after I wake up .. But these randome things happen like .. Almost like a vision is comming into my head...

I just thought maybe theres a name for this I can look up..or maybe I just smoke too much pot .. That's the answer ppl keep giving me lol .. I'll deffinatly stay and "lurk" around here for awhile though thanks
