Thread: IM NEW!

good evening ladies and gentlemen, i just joined this seemingly wonderful community of people who know how to dream. I have been fascinated by dreaming since i was young, and always was excited to tell everyone i came in contact with the incredible experiences that i had had the night before. i have remembered lucid dreams before, but i never knew that it was such a known thing. i just accepted it as some sort of special dream that id have every once in a while which was always really cool and interesting - very recently i had the most extreme example of a [what ive now learned is called a] lucid dream that i have ever had. i made myself teleport basically, and then flew over the atlantic ocean carrying a conversion van owned by the SWAT team, after i made it fly and myself and we got over ocean for a while, i freaked out and woke up. . . but still i told people about it and such, and it was on my mind. i walked into a book store and started to read some book about mental tactics of improvement or something and that is when i first heard the word lucid. I then did online research and found this splendid little site and have read the whole thing and i just typed a very long paragraph into one of the messages for you guys to read . . which you are doing, anyway. Most recently (last night) i gained lucidity in a dream that was part of a dream, and controlled what i wanted, i first gained lucidity, freaked out and it started to fade, i somehow remembered what i read about dream spinning, except i wouldnt physically spin for some reason, but i closed my eyes and when they opened i was in a bathroom somewhere and then somehow i broke the shower head and caused the bathroom to flood, at which time people in the next room started to yell about 'what was going on in the bathroom'. then i opened the bathroom door to see 2 kids standing there trying to find out what was going on in the bathroom .. . the first kid had a knife, and i dont know if he wanted to stab me or anything, but somehow [i was still in control at this point btw but i have no idea why my consciousness made me go into a bathroom] anyway i somehow used my mind to throw a bar of soap at the knife
knocking it from his hand and then . . . this was amazing like just thinking about it gives me chills . . . but anyway i wanted to get out of the house, and at the time the only thing i could think of doing was to fly over them, because they and i had just been amazed that i threw soap with my mind, anyway so i go to fly over them and the whole world seemed to feel like liquidy and i just flew right over them through the door frame and too the front door, i then woke up inside of my dream and eventually woke up in reality.

~ so now that ive shared my most recent dream experience, i hope that i can gain more control of my dreams and be able to experience some of the things that people talk about on this site. i am amazed at this and feel like i am going unto uncharted psychological territory. anyway, i have no idea what anyone would comment about to this post, but let's hear it. thanks for taking the time to read all of this.
