      Hello there ;D

Hi, my names Kye im 18 and im from the uk i thought id join this forum to expand my knowledge on the subject and hopefully reduce my insanity at the same time.

It has come to my full awareness that controlled dreaming is in fact a skill that can be developed and kept forever. after about 15 minor lucid dreams, i started to loose hope and get frustrated with not having more then 1-2 minutes of lucidity, then i had some more where id have a good degree of controll, fly maybe, but still not be explicitly aware of the dream. Last night, i had the most intense dreaming session ever, there must have been at least a days worth of dreamtime, severe level of control, sex (with orgasm and not waking up), teleportation, and generally feeling really like i was 'in the pilot seat' and could really feel my bodys sensual responses to it being a dream, and what sort of feeling meant it was going to disapear, and how vibrant the realm would become the more in-tune i became with it. I woke up 6 times into more dreams, there was astral projection, seeing myself laying down, all absolutley phenomenal and has really inspired me to want to learn it as a life skill as i have some planned 'uses' for it
There definatly seems to be a knack to it, and it seems that the deeper i hold the questioning reality to my heart in day-to-day life, the more likely it seems i will be lucidly dreaming that night.
Are there any natural lucid dreamers out there? Will i be able to get to a point where its effortless to have a fully aware dream?
Also i seem to be experiencing normal reality look like a dream sometimes, riddled with sacred geometry. Especialy when i stand in a big field, i can always see grids in the grass towards where i am standing.

      am i on to something?

Hi there my friend, nice to have you here in DV. Yeah, Lucid Dreams tend to be short most of the time, spanning less than a minute. I'm sure that if you practice harder and dedicate yourself to lucid dreaming, you'll be able to have long and vivid lucid dreams. Anyway, there are indeed some lucky people out there who are blessed with the ability to Lucid Dream Naturally. Exerting little or no effort at all. But as for me, I'm not a natural lucid dreamer, I worked hard and started from zero, and now, i'm kinda getting the hang of it. But natural or not natural, we are all able to Lucid dream if we try our best and dedicate our time to it.

And yes, one can have a dream where he becomes aware that he is dreaming without exerting that much effort. It is a process or a method called DILD . DILD is the probably the easiest method out there. It requires proper awareness of one's surroundings. During a dream, a person's reasoning is hindered, one often fails to identify or differentiate a dream from reality. But if you practice your awareness and make it a habit to ask yourself wether you're dreaming or not, you might just be able to become an adept in the DILD method and have a decent amount of LDs.

If you do need some help or assistance, feel free to post a thread about it or just message me

Wow, it sounds like you had a major breakthrough in your dreaming.

I don't know if it will ever become effortless. We are constantly learning and forgetting, changing and growing, so nothing is permanent. The important thing is, the experiences you have can never be taken from you. Don't let go of the memory of last night's dream. Use it as an inspiration for your future goals. Now you know what you are capable of
