      need help with lucid dreaming!

hey everyone im a newbie to LD's and i really want to have one. i have succesfully been recalling dreams in my dream journal for the last week, and they seem to be getting more vivid. what i want to know is what i should be doing during the day and more inportantly during the night. i have been trying WBTB's with little success so far. last night i had a really vivid dream and somehow i managed to wake up after it, which i like never do. i stayed up for like half an hour after it and then tried to visualise it and tell myself to re-enter it and LD. it did not work though, as i think i lost concentration on it? so yeah if you think i should try WILDing or any other techniques for the night and the day, that would be super. i think i need a specific thing to keep trying, but im a bit muddled with all the different techniques out there. Thanks a lot to all of you who reply

Try MILD (which is a form of DILD) You have to stay persistent and confident though

Welcome to DreamViews! It sounds like you are doing great so far.

When you are new to lucid dreaming, all those different techniques are indeed confusing. I suggest starting with the DILD technique or the MILD technique. These techniques are relatively easy, and are therefore considered the best techniques for beginners to start with.

I don't recommend using the WILD technique for a while. Because of its difficulty, this technique is usually only recommended for more experienced lucid dreamers.
