Back Again, Questions on a WILD

Is it possible to WILD (wake-initiated-lucid-dream) from an awake state right off the bat? From the tutorial, it says that I should have been asleep first for 4-6 hours, but I was wondering, can you WILD after being awake for a few hours, rather than sleeping, then WILD'ing? It would be nice to LD at will like that. Let me know if you or anyone you know has WILD'd straight from being awake...

I'm sure that it's possible, but very difficult. I've never really done a successful WILD, but all of my LDs come after getting 4-6 hours of sleep first.

Alright, I'll try it both ways, I think I'll try a WILD pre-sleep, at night, because I'll be so tired, then some 5 hours later I'll attempt one after getting up if the first doesn't work. I think it'll be extremely hard to get the outcome desired, but I'm persistant.

      Hey Raw, just another suggestion:

Depending on the type of person you are when it comes to waking up before you're supposed to, you might want to plan ahead on how long you will stay up for.

I'm the kind of person where usually if I have to get up and stay up for more than a few minutes, I have trouble getting back to sleep. I don't think you want to be too awake before trying the WILD.

I've only had one succesfull WILD, and I'm pretty sure I didn't even get out of bed. Just looking at the clock and realizing it was 4am was enough time for me to become "aware" and be able to fall back to sleep.

      Good luck!

I'm trying to work on WILD as well. Interestingly, the first time I tried it, I got to the vibrations (but then kinda bailed haha)... but I just lucked out, cause I wasn't able to get into the right state since. I just got some earplugs and a set of those silly facemask things old people put on to keep their vision dark... That should help, given that it's really bright by 7am (which is about 6 hours after i usually go to sleep). I've been finding it really hard to get the right balance in the morning... Stay up too long, and can't get back to sleep... stay up too little, and you'll just drift right off (you keep repeating "i will become lucid" or whatever to yourself, but you just kinda get lazy and fall asleep.. . kinda like when you say "I'll just rest my eyelids for a bit..."). But yeah, I think you definitely need to sleep some hours at night... though I'm told afternoon naps (early afternoon) are good for this kind of thing too.

Hey Raw...I actually WILD all the time while I am napping during the day. I think you can WILD easily in the morning hours and the afternoon but it's harder in the evening and nearly impossible at night b/c it's too hard to stay conscious through the stages of WILD b/c you are too sleepy then.

If you have any questions on WILD feel free to send me a PM...I'm pretty experienced with them.
