Red face Glad to be here :)

Hi everyone, this isn't my first post because I was ahead of myself and didn't realize there was a newbie section. ^_^; But I just joined today and want to tell you a little about my dreaming patterns.

I'm very logical in my dreams, and can have conversations with people that would be similar to conversations in real life. I have had dreams that have predicted events, and dreams that have led to the discovery of items that were missing in real life. I would say a large percentage of dreams I have are recurring, though in the recurring dreams I remember the last dream and alter the events (if this makes sense?). I think my dreams are lucid to an extent -- kind of like a video game where I can control the character but not the surroundings or events. I would like to work on controlling these factors and would love advice on doing so.

On the other hand, I regularly have a lot of horrible and strange dreams, that have disturbed me to the point where I was a bit worried to go to sleep the next night. (especially after moving to a new house, those were the worst.)

I look forward to sharing dreams with all of you!

Just wanted to add, I also talk a lot in my sleep (says my boyfriend, lol) and its not rare that I wake myself up moving around (one example; once woke myself up once grabbing a pillow and kissing it -- during a dream that I was loving on my friend's puppy ) If anyone has done this, I'd love to hear it haha it cracks me up

Hi! Your dreams sound pretty cool, recurring dreams can be helpful for spotting if it's a dream. And no I haven't ever woken up preforming something I was doing in a dream, but I do destroy my bed sheets at night haha!

haha, yeah my sheets normally get pulled off (we actually got those suspender things now to keep the sheets on) if you fast forwarded a recording of me sleeping, it would probably look like I was alligator rolling all night haha. What do you mean, spotting if it's a dream? you mean for lucid dreaming? thanks for the reply!

The same thing happens to me in recurring dreams. I remember what is coming next and if its bad, I can sometimes avoid it (but sometimes just expecting the event makes it worse). One time I dreamed that I was attacked by hornets when I walked outside of this building. I had the dream again and recognized it as I saw the same building, so I just stayed inside and had a nice dream. As I have become more and more familiar with LDing, this effect leads me to become lucid more often.

Your dreams sound sweet. All in all, I think dreams are pretty amazing, and its funny how they just get overlooked in society. LDing allows us to explore dreams from the inside, instead of just looking back on them. And that is pretty damn cool if you ask me.

      Solar and TruMotion like this.
