Hey people, I've been interested in Lucid Dreaming for a few days now. Dream Control is something I have always wanted to do. I can't quite remember how I found out about it, but I thought it was something that only existed in films (Vanilla Sky).

I have kept a Dream Journal since saturday, noting down what I have done in the day and what I dreamt that night as well. I can remember one dream on Saturday night, which I was able to relate certain things to in real life. However, the next two nights, I couldn't remember anything. I am trying to set a trigger to be able to remember what I dreamt about by looking at a poster in room when I wake up. Last night was a bit different though.

I decided to try and listen to some music that is supposed to help with Lucid Dreaming. I fell asleep after a while (it always seems to take me ages to fall asleep) at about 1.45 am. I then woke up at about 5.15 am with my Ipod out of my ears and needing the toilet. So as I went I could remember a dream I was having so I jotted it down in my journal and had a cigarette to keep myself awake for about 10 mins thinking it might help with that certain technique (WILD? WBTB?). I didn't listen to the music again this time. I woke up earlier only remembering one dream so I wrote that down too. After about 10 minutes I remembred another one (at this point I was up and doing stuff) so I wrote that down aswell. Does this mean I'm getting closer to LDing?

I'm trying to perform reality checks numerous times a day. I keep trying to 'pushing fingers through hand' and questioning myself. So here are a couple of questions:

1. Does music like Binural beats help with Lucidity?
2. It really seems like the last thing I'm going to do in my dreams is perform a reality check. My dreams seem quite long but nothing flows constantly. One second I'm walking where I need to go and the next I'm already there. Does this happen? and is there a faster/better way to programe my mind into doing more reality checks that will passover into the dreamworld?
3. I'm scared of trying the SP thing. Is there a way to overcome it?
4. Also before sleep, I keep telling myself I will dream and realise I'm dreaming. However it does not seem to work for me. Is there anything else that I can do?

Many thanks people!
