      Hello 'veryone!

      Hi guys,
im fairly new to this site but not the concept of LD.
My name is Josh,im 21 and from Germany
Ive had a few encounters in the past, all of them really random.Often i just realized that something is just completely wrong.

Also had some DEILD-ish dreams where i just fell into a dream right away with a certain lucidity but not enough.Ive been keeping a DJ since spring of last year but only have like 20 entries but rather good ones.

Lately ive been having some problems with SP.I can get to a point where my legs are numb but that is mostly it (without prior sleep). No matter how much i relax i either stay in that state or just fall asleep in an instant.
Last night though i was there again but then felt an itching on my forehead and i somehow focused on it and almost got complete SP.Fairly exciting but a bit frustrating...

Im really interested in this whole concept because i have to admit that most of my dreams are nightmares where i have to relive some struggles in my life and i want to fight these nightterrors

I hope i can become a good dreamer

I find it hilarious you joined exactly a day after the hacking fiasco.

Hi there! Welcome to Dream Views.

Have you ever tried to get SP (for a WILD, yes?) after already having some sleep? It's usually much easier to do when you've had most of a night's sleep (but not so much that you aren't tired enough to fall back asleep) or when you're having a nap in the middle of the day, than when you go to bed at night.

You might try a wake back to bed (WBTB). Set your alarm to go off after you've had about six hours of sleep. When it goes off, get up and move around a little (not too much- you want to be able to fall back asleep afterwards). Stay awake for maybe half an hour, then go back to bed and try to WILD. No need to remember not to move with this technique.

Welcome! I should tell you that you can start with pretty much anything to like, but do something that fits you. If you choose a technique for effectiveness only, and it doesn't fit your way of life, then it ends up becoming a bother to lucid dream, and that is a killer to motivation and thus to lucid dreaming. Good luck!

RC and MILD can be really effective and they are quite easy, so I'd say they're a great place to start. Good luck again

After that i tried DEILD but i failed and then a WBTB approach but all the sounds from the outside like birds kept me awake so i got up

      Hello and welcome!
With SP, i wouldn't recommend attempting to get into it without prior sleep because I find it well.. pointless. Try combining it with a WBTB (Wake Back To Bed) if you want to WILD If you have any questions, do send me a PM!
