Welcome to DreamViews!

One of the most important things for a lucid dreamer to do, is keeping a dream journal. Not just because it helps with dream recall, but you can also use it to identify dream signs (recurring elements in dreams that you can use to become lucid).

I suggest you start with either the DILD technique or the MILD technique, as these are considered the easiest for beginners. However, it's up to you to find out which technique works best for you.

I'm not sure what this sound could have been. It may be a good idea to write this down in your dream journal whenever it happened. Perhaps that way you'll be able to find out what caused it.

I hope this helps. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
