Hello I stumbled across this forum in a google search about polyphasic sleep schedules. I've always been interested in lucid dreaming, but I could never find the discipline to keep a dream journal to improve my dream recall ability. Astral projection has held a big interest as well since first hearing about it, but I'm not sure if that's even a real thing.
So here I am on this forum, ready to start recording my dreams, and get feedback from people with similar interests. Also going to try and start polyphasic sleeping. My goal is dymaxion but everyone says that is the hardest one to accomplish, so if I fail I will end up trying uberman. An advantage I have thought of that I have never seen in logs of people's experiences, is trying to exhaust myself to the point of sleep deprivation before I start the naps. About all of the logs I've seen is them getting a good night's rest, then waking up the next day starting their naps, so of course they won't get much sleep at that point. I think this would make the adjustment period faster and easier since the point of dymaxion sleep is to compress the sleep stages before REM to get to REM much faster. I feel when I'm already really really really tired I get to the point of dreaming faster.
Also, a thing about how I sleep. I generally sleep on my stomach/side, almost 100 percent of the time. But the few times I sleep on my back, those are the times I dream most vividly and the times I have the beginnings of a lucid dream. Anyone else have experiences like this?
