      Hello, y'all! :D

      Hi, DreamViews!

I'm extremely new to this website, but I have known about Lucid Dreaming for nearly 5 years now. I usually tend to be very enthusiastic whenever I decide to try again, but have a bit of burn out after a week or so. Hopefully an online LD Community will help with that.

But, I do have a question about reality checks and stuff. What are some good ones, when should I do them, and how often? The finger-through-palm RC does not work for me... I have done it a million times in my dreams and it has never made me lucid. What I am currently trying to do is do a reality check every time I see a clock, by glancing at it, looking away, then back to see if it's changed. I have become lucid like this in the past, so I know it works. But what are some more RCs I can do, and how can I remember to do them?

Oh, and sorry, just remembered that I forgot to post about myself! Some introduction this is turning out to be. Anyway, I'm Liz, 16, American, and I love to write fan fiction and fantasy stories. Not published IRL... not yet, anyway... but I have published one of my Doctor Who fanfics on fanfiction.net (not posting a link, but I will if you want me to). My username (lieselx) is my name in German (because I am German), followed by an 'x'.

      Anyway, thanks for reading!

      Hello there !

Concerning RCs, a great one is to pinch your nose and try to breath through it. If you succeed, you are dreaming.

      Good day

My favorite reality check is verifying my recent memory. I think back on the last few minutes. How did I get here? What was I doing 10 minutes ago? Does this all make sense? It is not foolproof like checking a clock or some text, but it normally puts me in the right state of mind. By the time I try counting my fingers or levitating, I already know if I am lucid. The reality check just confirms my suspicion.
