Really hoping this will work out for me, for a variety of slightly personal reasons. If I can manage to find an adopter I trust I'll be more inclined to share those reasons, of course. It would be particularly awesome if I could find someone who lives in LA as well; I find that face-time is more valuable to me than time spent online.
Thanks for reading my brief bout of babble. I'm Adrian, and I'll also answer to zymish or just z.
Hello zymish, welcome to DV. Unfortunately, I think the adoption program is defunct. An older member would know better than me though. However, many of the members here are very open about giving advice. You can post questions in the forums, or PM someone. Or enter the chatroom, usually there are a couple of experienced folks in there wanting to talk about LDing. DV has also a couple of LD courses. You write down your experiences, questions and dreams and one or more experienced members will encourage you, make suggestions, or answer your questions.
I've been telling my friends about my desire to lucid dream, and I found two people that have already experienced lucid dreams or they could control their dreams. I'm not sure how many people you talk to about lucid dreaming, but you might as well try asking around. I found out recently that a good friend of mine has been having LDs her whole life! She's fascinating to talk to. I'm sure that someone on the forum lives in the LA area, but if you can't find someone or don't want to meet a stranger, talking about your desires to LD with friends and family could prove to be beneficial.
