What am I missing

Hello , Because of inception i found out about Lucid dreaming and this website, for so long i have tried to lucid dream and it only has happened once, I write down my dreams and the thing that keeps popping up on my dreams alot are my friends and family and i also do RT, Is there anything I'm missing on?

It's good that you're keeping a dream journal and doing reality checks, but have you been practicing a technique? Using the right technique is very important when trying to achieve lucidity. If you haven't tried any techniques yet, I think you should look around the tutorials section or the wiki. If you are using a technique, you might want to consider trying a new one or making some changes to it. Everyone is different, so people become lucid in different ways.
