a few questions before I begin

Hi, I have experienced these lucid dream a few times in the past and I became intrigued as to why these dreams were different from the usual dreams. So I did a bit of research and came across the reason why they occur and then found out that you could actually train yourself to induce these dreams and I would like to know more.

I would like to know if it's possible to remove a person from a dream. I have a person from my past that is present in nearly all of my dreams and the way in which I interact with this person in my dreams has a negative effect on me.

So I would like to know if I could train myself to remove or change the way I interact with this person during my dreams.

Hi JB, first you want to just learn to lucid dream and stabilise your dream once you become aware in it. It may take time before you can remove things or add things but after a short while you should be able to do this. So basically yes you can remove them from your dream but before you do just stand up to thm and ask "what do you want" or "what do you represent" you ay then find that ths person who you don't like may actually be very nice to you, ths happens a lot so please try that first

Welcome to Dream Views! I hope you'll find your experience very pleasant.

Yes, you can train yourself to Lucid Dream. Go to Wiki on the sitebar (above) and click on DV dictionary and DV tutorials. You'll learn our slang and be able to understand some certains a lot better.

Some general information you should know:
DILD's-A type of Lucid Dream, you realize you're dreaming while sleeping. Typically short, with low clarity. Great for begginners.
WILDs- Type of Lucid Dream, go from being awake, keeping your concsious going, start the dream lucid. Can be extremely detailed, a little more advanced.

WIth Lucid Dreams, you gain a large amount of control over the dream, so changing your interactions with this person would be very easy. You could be creative, take a hammer and hit them into space, or control the way they act. You may need to consult a higher experienced dreamer for this- I'm Sorry about that.

      Good Luck!

Thanks for the quick replies. It's nothing as complicated as hitting the person with a hammer, I just need to say no instead of yes.

      Time to start learning...
