      Time to stick to something

      Hey =)

      I just stumbled on this site awhile ago, and I've been frequently been visiting the forums and reading tutorials as I've become really interested in lucid dreaming. Well today I felt like a creep for reading everyone's threads and conversations and not even having a profile lol, so as you can see I made one.

      All my life I've had some problems with "Sticking to things" and when I spark a new interest (Ex. Guitar) it doesn't take long before I get bored, give up, and move on to something else. I'm hoping that learning to lucid dream is something I can stick with because not only does it sound amazing, but I think my overall attitude, mood, and day-to-day happiness can benefit greatly from it. I've had one vivid lucid dream a few months ago, but other than that I'm a complete newbie!

      Hello Sola, glad you finally decided to register. I was also initially concerned about not sticking with lucid dreaming too. That's the main reason why I joined this forum. If I attached myself to a LD community, I'd be much more likely to keep trying to do it. It's worked well enough so far. Consider joining a DVA class too, I found that also helped with my motivation.

      So how'd you learn about lucid dreaming? What techniques are you using now?

      Welcome to Dreamviews! You probably know this, but you can practice playing guitar in LDs. That would be a great motivation for you to stick with it.

      I learned about it when I was watching a Seananners video on Youtube and I saw it mentioned in one of the top comments, at first I thought "There's no way that can be possible" so then I researched it and the thought literally had me amazed! Right now I'm mainly just trying to get better dream recall, and I'm also practicing All Day Awareness in order to increase the chance of having a DILD.

      As for playing the guitar in a lucid dream.. I never really thought about it but now that you mentioned it I'll forsure give it a shot.
