Hi, I'm new to Dream Views but not new to lucid dreams.

Hi, I'm new to fairly new to Dream Views. I have already made a couple posts, but I thought that I should make an introduction.

I have been lucid dreaming ever since I was a kid. I'm 38 now. However, I didn't know what they were called, I just knew that they were great to have.

When I was around 15, I really focused on having out-of-body experiences. I had many strange experiences but was never convinced that any of them were truly an out-of-body experience. However, at this time I also found out by accident was to increase the chances of lucid dreams. I didn't know at the time, but I was doing WBTB's. I would wake up in the morning at stay in bed until I got tired again. When I fell asleep I would either have a lucid dream or very vivid dreams.

When I was in university, I had a part-time job early in the morning. After I got home in the morning, I would take a nap. This increased my lucid dreams in the mornings and at night.

It was also at this time that I started to have experiences of waking up in bed with what felt like some kind of presence on top of me. At first it was scary, but over the next few years, it just became annoying. I have recently found out that this is a common experience for people leaving there body.

I started writing a dream journal but I stopped because it took so much time to write. I just couldn't do it every morning. I would want to write down every detail, so it would take me over 30 minutes to write down everything. I just didn't have the time.

And so I went on having the occasional lucid dreams until recently. It actually changed when I bought the ipod touch this January. I realized that it made it really easy to record dreams by voice instead of writing them down. For the first three months I had two dreams a month. However, in May I had 10 lucid dreams. And it is becoming easier the more I work at it.

I have had great success using different aids. I first started using nicotine patches. I have about a 60% success rate with those. However, I recently got Choline. I used it two times. The first time I took 250mg at 1:00am. I had a lucid dream later in the morning that was really helpful for some questions I wanted to ask myself. The second time I took 500mg at 4:00am. That experience was crazy. I went on to have a chain of lucid dreams for around an hour. I finally woke up at 6:00 when my wife's alarm went of. I think that I could have slipped back into a dream, but by then I was really tired and had had enough. However, at around 8:00 I fell asleep and had an extremely lucid dream. I was so clear that when I did a reality check (by accident) I still tried to justify to myself that I was awake. This actually scared me a little because I felt that I couldn't tell the difference between awake and asleep. But the fear quickly faded.

I took 8mg of Galatamine with 200mg of Choline. However, after I took it I couldn't fall back to sleep. I will take half of that dose tomorrow morning and see how it goes.

My friends and wife don't really have the same interest I have in lucid dreams. They ask me why I am so interested in them. One of the reasons was what happened to me around 4 times. I have had what I call hyper-lucid dreams. They felt more real than my waking life. I would love to experience that again.

Well, I think I wrote enough for now. Anyway, it's nice to meet all of you.

Hello laservius, glad you decided to make an intro post! You have had some fascinating experiences! It's amazing how so many people have come to find similar methods of increasing chances to have LDs, without ever sharing their ideas. It's cool that you discovered WBTB on your own.

I feel the same way about DJ sometimes. I like remembering my dreams, but it can take me an hour to write down a vivid dream. I'm glad that recording your dreams on your iPod touch is working better for you.

So why were you interested in OBEs when you were younger? Why have you become more interested in LDing recently?

I was interested in OBEs because that was want I had read about. I read every book I could find in the library on them. I don't know if I even knew about the term lucid dream when I was a kid.

I've been interested in lucid dreams for a while, but it was actually when I bought the ipod touch and could record my dreams that I my interest in lucid dreams got jump started again.

I have also always been interested in exploring consciousness. I have tried psychedelics and have learned very important things about myself. However, they seem to point me in another direction. It was almost like I learned what I had to learn from them and they told me it was time to move on. It seems like that direction is toward the dream world. But even more than that, I want to learn about reality itself.
