Smile Newbie At Lucide Dreaming; Regular At Dreaming

Hello there! My name is Christina. I have been lurking around this forum for about a couple of weeks now, and decided to go ahead and dive in head first. I have always felt a strong connection with dreaming, and my recall is either getting real good, or my dreams are just getting real vivid- not sure which.
I am still learning the whole "lucid dream" terms, and I feel a little stupid, but am not sure if my dreams are lucid or not. Maybe I make it harder than what it is, but it can't be so simple, can it? I believe that lucid dreaming, in itself, is a fairly simple concept. You realize in your dreams that you are dreaming. Is this really all? Do I have to have dream control, or is it sort of like an added benefit of lucid dreaming? I have a lot of questions and a lot of learning to do, so please bear with me!

Welcome and yes that really is all. If you know you're dreaming, it's a lucid dream However the hard part is to make sure the dream stays stable, vivid and learning dream control.

Some people have great dream control, but no lucidity. I'm one of them. The moment you become lucid, the dream is rushed with clarity, and your free to do what you want.

Thank you! This is really cool that it's so simple! For me, dream control is the hardest part. My dreams are usually very vivid, and I often times get stuck wondering what happens next, thus, remaining a bystander most times. Sometimes, I am able to wake up, if I think the dream is turning silly, or if I don't find it entertaining anymore.
