      First LD... A few questions

Hello all. Ok last night I had my first Lucid Dream. Let me describe it. I had a non-lucid dream before my lucid one. Then I woke up to use the restroom then I lay back down. Now this is the confusing part, i don't know if i had a WILD or not, but i lay back down and then i sort of drift to a dream while i am concious the whole time. I expierience no images or sounds or vibrations or anything. Then I realize I have drifted to my dream and my dream starts to fade, so i start spinning. It makes everything clearer. Then i try to fly away. I sort of jump and dont fly but i jump really far. So then i want to make some people appear, so i concentrate very hard, but i could get no one to appear. Then I start to wake up. There. Whew. Ok three questions. Did I WILD or not? How can I get to fly better? And what will help in making people appear? Thanks for taking the time to read all of that.

sounds like you might have WILDed...but skipped the whole transition phase.
Man, if only it was as easy as that!
regarding getting people to appear...ive found that the best thing to do is not to concentrate too hard. simply expect them to appear. don't make things complicated in a lucid, or at least, no more complicated than they would be in waking life.
For example: You want to see someone in a lucid dream. The easiest way to do this, is to tell yourself they are either round a corner, or behind a door. Because ninety per cent of the time, that's what happens in real life, right?
Getting up to pee in the night is a great way of re entering a dream, provided you don't wake up too much...

That is the best way to make people appear and for your flying problems you really have to believe that you can fly, in my first flying experience I ran down the road to pick up speed and then jumped and thought that I can really do it that it's possible and I did it!

Yeah I think that you had a WILD officially because you were awake and then drifted into a lucid...typically I call these unintentional WILDs and I have them alot when I nap during the day. I will lay down to take a nap without the intention of WILDing...and I skip through all the transition stages and about 45 minutes later I just find myself in a lucid dream.

I also find that the easiest way to get people to appear in a dream is to find then begin doors and around corners. Or to image them walking in through a doorway. As far as flying goes I've never had much of a problem with it...but the few times that I have had problems flying I just grow wings. It seems to work really well. I will be jumping around trying to fly. When I realize something isn't right. I stop..and calm myself down...and just "let go" of everything around me...suddenly I grow these huge angel wings and I take flight. It's a really awesome experience.

And congratulations on your first LUCID DREAM!!!!
