      Hello!

      Hey, I'm Oz!

I have explored the site, and have taken the advice to hand. However, I can't get my hands on a DJ, so I figured that I'd use the site and join.

I have been putting the advice to heart for a couple of nights now, and I have a small querie. Last night, I spontaniously did a DIELD (I think). It happened a couple of times, because I wanted more and more sleep. I cannot remember the dreams, as they were seconds long. However, I remember realising that I was dreaming, then suddenly woke up, went back to sleep, and everything repeats.

So, my question is: how can I extend the length of my LDs, and how can I realise I'm dreaming without waking up? I know I've probably missed something on the site.

Also, the dreams I had were extremely fuzzy - what can I do to stop this?

      Thanks

      -Ozhleth

Hello and welcome fellow oneironaut =) In the beginning you will wake up from your dream immediately, either of excitement, fear or that you focus on your physical body because you are not used to focus on the non-physical or dream. So the only cure is to keep practicing until you no longer have this issues, it happens automatically. When the dreams are fuzzy look at your hands and when you feel the dream is more clear, slowly look at other objects in the dream, but if you feel like you are losing control look back at your hands.

I hope this helped and good luck =)

I get dreams like that, sometimes. For me, it usually happens after I wake from a dream. They are short, and I keep waking up every few seconds. It is hard to extend these dreams, because you are at the end of a dream cycle. If you know the time of night you had these dreams, you could use that as your target. If this was happening at 7am, you could wake around 6, remind yourself to lucid dream, and return to sleep. It will be easier to stay lucid longer, because you have an hour of good dreaming coming up.

Hey, thanks for all the tips. I had an extended non-lucid dream last night, and the signs were so obvious to me in the morning I wondered why didn't I realise I was dreaming?! Does that ever happen to anyone else around here?
