      New Here!

Hey everyone of DW, I'm new here! Joined this forum because lucid dreaming really interests me. I've always wanted to do it, but I've never been succesful.

Once I knew it was a lucid dream, so I walked around my house, it seemed like normal, I didn't have any superpowers or anything, then I eventually sank back into my dream state. Last night, I did a reality check, found out it wasn't real and woke myself up (didn't have lucid dreams in mind, I should have)

      Welcome to the forum!

DreamViews is a great place to learn about lucid dreaming! I am sometimes stunned by how many guides and tutorials are posted here.

Sometimes doing a reality check can cause you to wake up but that just means you're that much closer to lucidity. Remember, if youa re aware you are dreaming then you are lucid.

Give this a read...see if it helps: http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/beginn...eaming-124786/

I'm staff so I am here to answer your questions and porvide help if you need it. You can post on the forum or you can send me (or any staffmember) a private message by clicking on our profile name.

I suggest writing down your dreams every day, either at home or using our online Dream Journal system. Writing them down helps your mind understand that dream memories are important to you. This will help increase your chances of recall and lucidity.

      Pleasant dreams!

Hi Wormow! Welcome to DV. Sounds like you're on the right track. Continuing practicing reality checks, and writing in a dream journal––as melanieb suggests––will probably help a lot. Good luck!
