      Im new :)

Hi, I found this site a few months back and saved it b/c it seemed like it would be an interesting thing to learn, I have only had one Lucid Dream, and it was a what seemed like 5 second segment in the dream, right before I woke up so I havent gotten to "play" very much. I have pretty good dream recall, and thus far this summer i have had a dream all but 3 nights, and 2 nights that I have had dreams I recalled didnt have anything to do with school, trust me its wierd to dream about school almost every night during the summer.

If anyone has any tips for a person that has ,mostly, realistic dreams it would be helpful, it would be greatly appreciated since I rarely have dreams that have anything unrealistic happening, as in something that couldnt happen, or that I or people I know wouldnt do.

I graduated 5 years ago and still have dreams of being in high school, of course in these Im able to sleep with the teachers and stuff

You should keep a dream journal if you dont already and mark down everything that is different from waking life and use them as dreamsigns, and search the forums for all the info you need.

      Welcome to the boards!!

I'm somewhat the opposite. I usually have dreams that are just weird and bizarre.

A lot of my dreams seem to be pretty normal too. I'd say that for the rest of summer vacation, use school as a dream sign. Just be adamant about the fact that school is over, drill it into yourself before you fall asleep.

Also, use alot of reality checks. I've had dreams that seem so normal and boring, but then I did a RC and became lucid. Sometimes the only way to tell that you're dreaming is to find out usuing a reality check (since the dream may be so normal and uneventful.)

      Good luck with the lucidity!

I suffer from the same basic proble, though some of my dreams are abstract and stupid. The best way to overcome this is by looking at your dreams and seeing what you do a lot in them, when you do this in real life, do a reality check, with any luck you'll carry that into your dreams.
