Hi, I'm new to a strictly forum based site so apologies if I don't know how to post things appropriately. I stumbled upon Dream Views after having a continuing job over the past week involving tracking a killer through Tibet and Buddhist monasteries. I was actually curious for a psychological reasoning for this phenomenon and stumbled here. I decided to join in an effort to better build my dream skills.

I've had lucid dreams in the past, as well as continuing dreams, but my dream life started off with extremely tortuous nightmares as a small child, and as an adult I've had dreams of paralysis. I've also experienced things that I was unsure of were dreams or reality. For example about 2 years ago after waking from a paralysis dream I had two shadowy figures sitting on the foot of my bed, a tall skinny guy, and short fat guy. They were just sitting there looking at me. I didn't move, I didn't say anything, I'm not even sure if I was still dreaming or not. The paralysis dreams usually are in the same environment from which I went to sleep.

This is getting long I think, and I'm usually a blogger, so I'll just say I'm TOGNick and I'm here to learn how to control my dream states more. I can lucid dream but can't incite one, and the dream journal I read about here sounds like a good idea. Thanks for your time
