      Greetings!

Hullo. found my way here after searching for ways to help my dream recall. When I can remember something it is short and vague, yet I knew they had more to them. I've always wanted a way to improve it, but I never thought there would be a way. till I finally decided to look around the 'net and stumbled my way into here where I found what I was looking for, and then some

I mostly just wanted to introduce myself, but I do have a question that is sleep related, not sure if it belongs here though. It isn't a problem any more, since I've learned to ignore them and control myself awhile ago, and they've stopped happening. I am still curious if anyone knows anything about what this is? I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night, about once or twice a month, look around my room and see hallucinations, generally a large bug crawling towards me, though I vividly remember computer wires "attacking" me once. When I have something like this I have little control over myself, and I'll defend myself by smothering it with a pillow, throwing whatever I can grab at it, or running out of the room.

I've tried the tips in the dream recall section of this site, and after my first night I remembered two dreams one with a decent length and the other better than my average. I also remembered about a third but by the time I wrote things down for the first two I forgot the third. My main goal was to get that recall up, and if this keeps up I'm going to move on to trying to attain lucidity quicker than I expected. I'm glad I stumbled onto this site

      Hey Gulak

Welcome to the fourm, nice to have you here. It's good that you were reading about increasing dream recall, there is a ton of info on the site about that. It's great that you are already seeing some results from this. Congrats.

Also...there are hallucinations that are associated with HI (hynogogic imagery and sounds) and you will get these during a WILD (wake induced lucid dream) or sometimes when you wake up at night. However, this HI occurs right before you enter a dream and therefore you are not concious and your body is in sleep paralysis. Meaning that you would not be able to throw a pillow at something or run away...etc. That is not normal.

Have you ever used and recreational drugs? This can cause you to wake up at night and see things even weeks...months after use.

If you have any more questions feel free to PM me anytime

Nope, I've never used anything of that sort, all the drugs I've taken have been generic non-asprin pain killers, and doctor prescribed dealies, which were generally anti-biotics
