      Lucid Stars

Hello, I am new to this site and am very excited to be among fellow dreamers. For some reason I couldn't find this forum when I first started trying to induce a lucid dream, and this looks like it would have helped me a lot back then.

I am a 21 year old engineering student and wish to become a master at lucid dreaming, this forum looks like it will help me along the way. I wish to use lucid dreaming for studying, conducting engineering experiments, and finding information about books that I will write in the future (Fantasy books, not "how to" books ) I am very excited to be in your community.

From ages 0-19 I had a few lucid dreams, most involved waking myself up from a nightmare, but some I talked to dream characters and actually socialized knowing that I was in a dream. But these were very few and far between. I tried lucid dreaming right before I got married (age 19 or 20) and had 1 lucid dream the first try, then I got married and somehow forgot about it. About a year later I had a lucid dream and for the last three months I have been learning about how to get better and better at it.

Im not sure the experiment idea would work, because in a dream, the logic and laws of physics go down the drain unless you control them on purpose. sorry

Yes, I agree, I do not think it would be easy, but if I can memorize the laws of Physics in my sub conscience and have an experimental room and some helpers, I might be able to come up with some revolutionary ideas that I can work on in real life. I can hopefully use more information and solve very complex problems in my dreams using my conscience and sub conscience. But I have not been able to do anything but have fun in dreams yet.

Thank you. I am very glad that I found this place, I have a very set amount of free time per week that I never know what to do. So this will take away from it. It seems like it should be a relaxing place if nothing else. Who has ever heard of a group of dreamers fighting?

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

Yes, lucid dreaming can be used for experiments and other things you are mentioning. I know you not a noobie per se, but you can start with our Beginners guide to learn the basics. DV Wiki has a ton of tutorials. And of course, you can read and post in the forums. Looking forward to your post, and happy dreams.

Thank you. I'd still count 3 months as a noob, but I am a fast learner, I am away from my dream journals or I'd have my count of LDs up. Thank you for welcoming me here. I am hoping this will increase my LD count immensely and give me tons of interesting creative and productive dreams. I will definitely be on here a lot.
