      Eek spiders!

Hey guys! I only recently found out what lucid dreaming is and strangely enough... This is something that has happened to me for so long that I didn't realize it was even a big deal or something that is hard to do! I'll get more into that soon... But for now I have a question relating to something slightly different (still dream related). I have been having recurring dreams (or night terrors maybe since my eyes are open when it happens?) where a spider (large one) is crawling on my bed or up the wall next to me. All times I have run to the other side of the room freaking out and it takes me a good 10 minutes to come to and calm down again! I've never been one to have night terrors or sleep walk. Just the occasial sleep talker. I also dont have a phobia of spiders or anything!! Anyone know what this is about? Xo

Usually something showing up in dreams like that represents something currently going on in your life, have you had any recent changes to your routine, work, love-life, social life or family?
As hard as it sounds, if you have the dream again, try confronting the spider, asking it a question or even just acknowledging it vocally. Sometimes you will find the figure will morph into something much more friendly. The basic idea is that whatever you think it is, it represents a part of you, or a current situation you are in, so there is no reason to fear it. (although, i can completely understand why you'd freak out if a GIANT spider is in your room)

Thanks for replying!! I haven’t had the dream in ages!! Although I had just got a new boyfriend when it was happening and I thought that it may have had something to do with that! We broke up a couple of months later (for no specific reason) and then I stopped having them. Weird??

      Haha, definitely a little strange.
Maybe it was just the anxiety of dating again, who knows! Glad you don't have it now though
