      Saying Hello

      Hello!

Just thought I would post something as I have just registered tonight.
I am looking forward to learning more about lucid dreaming.

I have experienced only one lucid dream in my life. It was the most beautiful experience. Needless to say I want to go there again. So here I am!

      Greetings all and happy dreaming!

      hi, welcome to the board!
this is a great place to be, and you've definitely come to the right place if you want to learn about lucid dreaming!
If you've already had a lucid dream then you're well on your way to having another one, being as you know what to expect.
Are you keeping a dream journal, in order to make note of your dreamsigns?
These are common or recurring themes that occur within everyone's dreams in some form or another, and they are useful reminders to perform a reality check... As in, you see your dreamsign, you think you must be dreaming, so you do a reality check, and find that you are indeed dreaming!
let us know if you have anymore questions.

Hey there and welcome to the forum!

I suggest you spend some time looking around the different areas of the site such as attaining lucidity, dream signs and recall, and tutorials to get a better understanding of the huge amount of info we have here about lucid dreaming.

It's great that you've had one already and you know how it feels to be lucid in a dream. Do you remember what sparked that lucidity or did it just sort of happen? Anyways, definitely do what Irish said and start a dream journal and write down everything you can remember about your dreams in order to increase your dream recall and better your chances of becoming lucid.

Good luck and if you have any questions feel free to PM me or any other Dream Guide at any time.

      Thank you for the welcome!

I am trying to figure out a way to start a dream journel. I have a hard time remembering my dreams if I do not wake up just right. Right now I have a million things goign on, such as a new job, college starting, and moving to a new location. These things seem to pop up in my mind the minute I wake up. So I am trying to train myself to just relax when I get up.

The first and only lucid I have experienced was when I was taking a nap. I didnt even mean to fall asleep! I just remember looking aorund myself and seeing this magnificent sky of swirling color and roling hills of green. I realized that I was dreaming. I looked at my hand also to verify it was me. After that I decided to fly around for awhile but then lost control as I came upon a town that was having some sort of weird parade..anyways..

Thanks again for the welcome, and you can be sure i willhave plenty of questions when I get through with reading all the info!

      Happy Dreaming!

Wow that's really interesting...that's how I had my first lucid too (during a nap) and I didn't even know what it was. Then I used to get them everyday when I would take naps in my dorm room in between classes. Try it if you have time. It usually works for me even still. I call then unintentional nap induced WILDs.

Also, to better increase your chance of recall try setting your alarm for 5 hours after you go to sleep, keep the journal by your bed so you can write everything down as soon as you wake up.
