Thread: the matrix

so who here thinks the matrix was a lucid dream then. It makes some sort of odd sense. Neo's ability to fly, bend spoons, stop bullets and do crazy acrobatics.

ya matrix is very dream related. it can also be viewed as the government controling mankind. such as the true matrix is the TV. it is control (in the movie they are looking at a tv when he says it too......)

well its true the gov does control everything its part of the reason why things are so messed up at the moment

Yeah I definitely see the connections with lucid dreaming and the matrix and how when you become lucid or realize that you are dreaming (or plugged into the matrix) you can bend it and change it to your will. But it also goes alot further beyond that into the eastern beliefs and teachings. It is also a lesson to us that we are all disconnected from our source and that if we are able to reconnect we will be able to achieve higher planes of existence...and reach out beyond our own little dream worlds...

Not to be rude, but how do we reconnect?

The Matrix = the global economy LOL Money is fake, greenspan is the 'matrix master'/architect/whatever, some of us are awakened and know about the whole thing... and those who don't know what I'm talking about are in the dark, at the mercy of the system

The Matrix is an interesting film, very entertaining in the realm of entertainment but when you look beneath the surface it’s just a Schizophrenic mish-mash of ideas.

I love the first film on the surface but its very postmodernist, the directors take ideas from other peoples ideas and then uses it for their own IDEA.

It still doesnt mean its not a kick ass movie though

Yeah the aspects of the Matrix could be a replication of Lucid dreaming but the point of the Matrix was all about choices .. So in regards to Lucid Dreaming Choices also play a major roll in Lucid Dreaming.

Yes, almost every film maker does do it, that’s why 99% of movies and directors are lackluster and unoriginal (shit basically). There are two ways a director/writer does this; on a conscious and subconscious level.

Yes, almost every moviemaker does do it, it still doesn’t mean they are a good director......

when they have an idea in their own mind and use it, then that’s a subconscious connection to other creativity. But when someone consciously rips off another idea it just shows lack of originality in my opinion. It still doesn’t mean they are a creative director/writer, just very good at copying and pasting ideas into their own head then intentionally forgetting where they came from and pass them off as their own.

i really dislike the creators of the Matrix, Pretentious Assholes !!!!!

THANKS: I'm glad my opinion can have value and also be considered wrong THATS GOOD! (thats why its an opinion).

I value my viewpoint even it’s considered ‘wrong’ because opinions are beyond 'right' or 'wrong' in my eyes, they are somthing that people can express, then the other person can give their opinion and so on and so on (it makes its much more fun when it can be done without thinking its a personal attack).

I do 'like' the Matrix, its good entertainment but beyond that i think the quality is second-hand.......

I'm glad you disagree because the world would be a boring place if everyone thought the same thing.

P.S. Love the Silent Hill image, its an excellent game
