Hello, everyone. My name's Cody. I'm a sophomore in high school that, unfortunately, lives in Louisiana. I've been soul-searching for some months now. Two summers ago was when I really began my adventure; however, for some months I lost interest. Not up until about several months ago did I really began to pique my interest with soul-searching.

When summer first started two years back, I had just began to read up on "lucid dreaming." My first thoughts were something along the lines of, "Holy sh*t. I need to do this." But back then I was not introduced to spirituality nor esoteric ideas so I was just in pursuit of sex, flying, and other things that a 14-year-old desires. So, after buying Melatonin and B6 and taking them for a while and testing results to no avail; I somewhat gave up. I had even tried to do a dream journal in which I was attentive to, when I actually had dreams, but I never really do recall my dreams. I even did reality checks and tried varied sorts of techniques.

After that summer ended, I gave up entirely. Then at the end of my freshmen year I got right back into the whole thing. I became really speculative and soul-searchy. I'd do tremendous amounts of reading online about astral projection, reincarnation, near-death experiences, etc. Through this I lost my atheistic views and gained a peculiar sense of spirituality. I tried to be attentive to my meditation, but my only excuse is that I'm ADD. Now, I'm back here. I'm really ready to try lucid dreaming again.

Although my dream recall is still generally trash, I have hope. For a while I started having vivid dreams when I'd nap in class. That's pretty much gone now; I stopped sleeping a lot in class. So, I write down my dreams whenever I actually can recall them. I'm going to start taking my vitamin B6 again, though.

I have some questions to strictly experienced lucid dreamers;
  • What other vitamins, supplements, diets, etc. can I look into in hopes to increase dream recall, acuity, and general chance to acheive lucidity?
  • What is the most effective lucid dreaming technique?
  • What are some personal tips that you, experienced, can give to, I, a novice?
  • Anything else you'd like to add in edge-wise.

I'm looking forward to my time spent here.
