      Hello!

Hello! I'm brand new to DV as well as lucid dreaming. Dreams have always fascinated me, and I'm glad to have finally found a place so interesting. I'm going to work on my dream recall for a while until I can actually have a lucid dream. I'm looking forward to being an active part of this forum... once I actually figure out how to use it!

      Welcome FadedRose!

Dream Recall is a good first step to start out with lucid dreaming, although did you know that it can be the only step?

Practising dream recall is the practise of remembering your dreams, but as you get better and because you are then having an intent of being more aware of your dreams in order to remember them, you will also start to become more aware of your dreams which in turn increases your chances for a lucid dream. So dream recall can actaually be the only step, but as you progress you probably want to try out some techniques and methods and that is fun too, but remember that you are already increasing the chances of a lucid dream the more you practise recall.

And about the forum hehe I am sure you will learn how it works in no time.

I wish you sweet dreams and enjoy your stay!

      Hi FadedRose, welcome!

MasterMind makes as excellent point. Make sure to check out http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/beginn...eaming-124786/ . It has the basics explained, and it also has some links for different tutorials and guides. Oh, and you might wanna give this a glance for inspiration: http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/1000-t...-dream-104556/

Is this the first forum you've joined? It is mine! So I know you might get a bit confused with the different parts of the forum. But it gets much easier! If you need any help, don't hesitate to ask, or you can PM any of us any time by clicking on our name and choosing "Private Message".

      Good luck!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

Thank you both very much for your help and patience! Yes, this is the first forum I've joined. I will certainly check out the Beginner's Guide for extra help. It seems that the more I think about dreaming and lucid dreaming in the evening, the more recall I have. I'm going to try reading the guides and some of the threads on the site and try to learn some new things. Thanks again so much for being so friendly

      Welcome FadedRose

Taking one step at a time is definitely the way to go. Most people like to do everything in one day (All the techniques, dream recall, etc). So focusing on dream recall before anything else is awesome If you have any questions about lucid dreaming or the website, you are welcome to send me a message. Good luck!
