      Not enough time?

I am new to this forum(and the concept of Lucid Dreams) but it seems interesting. I have only one problem, I am a HS student and cannot wake up every hour or two or three to record dreams(not that I would mind doing it but grades have to stay UP)...Any alternate suggestions(I was thinking about 2-3 days/week)? Also, has anyone found meditating to help this process? I meditate for short periods of time beore bed and wanted to know if this would have any affect on Lucid Dreaming.

Forgive me if this is covered somewhere else, I am not doing to good today...

      Hi, welcome to the board.
I see you're from Sarasota, that's a great place to be, my folks live there, and i went for a holiday there in may...
      anyway, enough of that...
I don't tend to use the method of which you spoke, simply because i like being asleep too much.
But, with keeping my dream journal for the last eight months or so, i have noticed my recall has improved sufficiently that sometimes i can remember two dreams on waking in the morning, without having been disturbed in the night.
As it's so difficult for you to keep waking yourself up, perhaps you should just try writing down what you remember on waking in the morning.
As your recall improves, you may find that you wake automatically in the night, and want to write a dream down.
When this has happened to me, i haven't really noticed any deprivation in terms of sleep.
Re meditation: I have a tutorial on sleep paralysis, which i guess is loosely based on meditation. I have used it in the past to enter a low level lucid dream.
      Hope this helps!

Hey there, welcome to the forum.

Basically I agree with everything irishcream said...I too do not liked to be disturbed when I sleep so I typically just wait till the next morning to write my dreams down (though I forget quite a few dreams this way it's the price I must pay for being lazy I suppose )

I like to spend time when I am trying to WILD also meditating. When I WILD (intentionally) usually I will do it early in the day and it takes me about a good 45 minutes to an hour to reach the vibrational/HI state of WILD. So I like to spend the first 20 minutes or so just sort of meditating...then again I don't know much about meditation. Also sometimes when I get stuck in certain stages of WILD for several minutes I feel like it is almost like meditating so I sort of take that time and use it to my advantage.

Hope this helps, and feel free to PM me anytime if you have any questions.
