Thread: Hi all!

Hi all!
I'm a Spanish guy in his 30's.
I've been on and off trying to LD for around 3 years, with some small success given that I'm putting almost no effort. Too many real life worries, I guess.
I hope one day soon I can give it the time and effort it deserves so that I can regularly LD.
Meanwhile, I'll be trying to learn from all of you in my (little) free time.

By the way, something important about my background I forgot to mention is I have a very sensitive bed partner (my wife) so any suggestions on how to practice LDing without disturbing her will be appreciated.

I have even tried some memorization techniques so as to not having to move in the middle in the night to write down dreams, but rather memorize some key words and journaling the dream in the morning. It's not 100% reliable (at least for me) but she hates being disturbed as she has some mild sleeping problems.

Hello and welcome. Some easy ones that shouldn't wake your partner are, MILD, DILD, and possibly WILD. Go to the wiki on this forum for more information about them.

I read some more tutorials and applied something I had missed out til now: use mantras in present tense.
I did it yesterday and... didn't have any LD but to my surprise it did feel much better that what I've done in the past.
Will keep trying!
And have to think seriously about getting into the DVA as well.
