      Not Another New Guy

Hello there people of Dreamviews! I was never any good at intros so I'll try to keep this brief and (somewhat) well written. First off, my username is a reference to the album NO LOVE DEEP WEB by Death Grips (do not look the album art up) and my icon is from a webcomic. I have a cat who is far too fat for his own good. I've always had more then a passing interest in lucid dreaming, but always significant challenges, such as lack of recall, vividness and also control whenever I do manage to trigger an LD, but I hold confidence for the future. I lurked this place for around a year or two a few years back, and had to take a reprieve from it due to personal issues. I came back a couple of days ago, and this time I decided to make an account and try to contribute to this website! Hopefully I'll be more of a help then a hindrance, but in any case I hope everyone I talk to has great success in their lucid dreaming endeavors!
If you have any questions at all feel free to ask, and if you want to talk just drop me a message any time!

Oh nos, not another new guy! Unless you have a cat. Then you ok

Welcome to Dreamviews! Glad you decided to make an account. You will find, that participating in forums and thinking about your dreams will help with recall by itself. But there are a few things you can do to start remembering them better.

When you wake up in the morning, or anytime at night, try not to move or even open your eyes and see if you remember anything. If you do, tell yourself your dream using words (whisper or say them outloud). That way the dream will get transfered to your regular memory and you have time to get up and put it on paper.

If you don't have time to write (PC or phone is fine too), just write as many keywords as you can and write the whole thing down as soon as you can.

You can also try a few other things, like drinking water before bed (will wake you up for a restroom trip), eat some food with B6 (cheese and bananas), or pay attention to the short awakenings we all have during night.

If you need help, just post or PM. Happy dreams

Thanks for the encouragement and advise Ms. Gab! And the icon is from Homestuck, although I try not to flaunt it as the fanbase isn't particularly well liked on the internet. I do appreciate the greetings though, so thank you!
