Smile Hello, My name is Adam

As the title and the Username suggests...I'm Adam. I'm 17 and from the U.K. I joined yesterday but I guess I forgot to post in here before I did initially start posting. I hope to "start" LD'ing (I say "start" because I've probably got a long way to properly go) as soon as i can because ever since i heard about it which was mid last year I've become really interested in the topic and hope to share whatever limited knowledge i have and will hopefully come to learn. Once again, Hello everyone and I look forward to positive dreaming!

Hello Adam and welcome to DreamViews!

You LD count says: "1?". Did you have (or think you had) a lucid dream after joining us or before? And where did you hear about it in the first place?

      Pardon my curiosity! ^^

      Welcome to DV Adam

I wouldn't call it "a long way to go", it's not always the destination that counts, the journey itself is the experience. When it comes to lucid dreaming you'll find that you're not only trying to become a master and won't be satisfied once you're there. The first few times of lucidity and achieving your first goals are priceless.

If you've got any questions, I'll be happy to answer them for you

Glad you asked! xD i did actually have the best attempt yet last night and I noticed it was a dream; this has happened twice but both times i have had the knack to realise, then basically not take note on this thus not advancing to what i want. This time however i took it a bit further and it was the most realistic i've had to date and i faintly remember ACTUALLY being there, my recall is much worse than average so my memory escapes me but the reason why there is a question mark there is because I was sure of it, that it was a LD, but it could have not been also, it was the most realistic as i said and it was great. The day after i joined eh? what luck! A brief memory glimpse of my "said" LD was that i was in my hallway and approaching my kitchen, it was night-time. Upon viewing the kitchen i notice a dark figure at the window, thinking it was nothing i approach to close the window when i realise that it is a woman, standing there with a lion behind her. I can't remember what happens next but i remember being scared to some extent. Then the same night another dream happened (which was the best to date) where I was at the local beach park and i was with some people. Something happened and i realised i was dreaming, i focused on my hands and i really began to feel the dream. Time progressed and i can't remember what happened for a short while and then i start to lose focus; remembering to check my hands I regain focus. After this i was going to the bathroom when Emma Watson was there waiting (which i didn't think was weird O_o). I thought to myself; i wonder what it would be like to be her? so then as I was thinking i lost control and woke up
Finally i first heard about LD'ing on...Trollpedia (The group on FaceBook). They posted an image showing someone astral projecting, well...concept of it. I instantly begain to take an interest and this was mid last year. From a very tedious, extensive, uneducated and annoying path (as a noob does) i gave up for a while and then tried again recently. I then started experience heavy spasms in my attempts (a thread i recently made) and searched for answers which brought me here. I signed up, posted and here i am now

Ah, the old destination fever caught up with me xD I'm very excited to begin and wish the best for everyone. One quick question would be...How can i constantly remind myself of performing RCs. Is there an item i can take with me, time of the day or just mental training?

      Yo Adam.

I found the best way to remember RCs is to hype yourself up on LD'ing so much that you are constantly reminded during the day.

Look forward to your sleep and the LD you WILL have, then you will constantly remember it.
