Lucid Beginnings.

Hi there, I'm new to the world of lucid dreaming.

I've just randomly found out about this stuff last week, more or less. Then I had my first lucid dream - it was beginner's luck, I guess. Anyway, it was kinda impressive, but I lost lucidity very quickly. Afterwards, I had no more lucid dreams (although I'm keeping a dream journal and I often remember one dream per night).
Now, as very first reading about this topic, I'm enjoying Exploring The World Of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LaBerge. After some searches, I came out with the discovery of this forum and of the LaBerge's books.

Is it a "good" beginning? How did you start (first readings, first practices...)?

Anyway, that was just to introduce myself.
If there's something wrong with my grammar, PLEASE correct me :-)
I'm Italian, so feel free to stick me, if I maltreat english.

It's very common to have LD in few first night after finding out about that. Later you will need more afford to have one but it's worth it. "The World Of Lucid Dreaming" by Stephen LaBerge it's good book for begginers. Keep reading it. keep writing in your dream journal. Also keep practicing awareness during the day. In LaBarge book you will find more about that.

I experienced LD a few yrs ago by using brainwave subliminals. Had only 2 lucid dreams. I want to have more. What's the best book on this subject that is complete.

Agreed! You started with the right book. And your English is excellent!! Nobody is going to 'stick' you - you actually write a lot better than quite a few native English speakers I've seen!

OOps! RideIT, your post wasn't there when I wrote mine - I was agreeing with the one above it. As AbelMagwitch said, Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming is the best book as far as I know (and I've read a few others). Beyond that, probably doing a lot of reading here on DV is the next best.

Firs when I find out about LD I have been reading a lot of articles on the many websites and short books of course everything in polish but some day I decided that my english is good enough to try "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming" and guess what ? Everything I have known till then was in that book and a lot of more. So really this book is one of the best. Many others just based on it.

^ Your English is good too Abel, I have no trouble understanding you. And I agree - I think most books on lucid dreaming written since ETWOLD (as we call it) are mainly based on it.

Great beginning! Thank you.
After that one, I think I'll read Lucid Dreaming by LaBerge, which people say it's like an interesting in-depth analysis about the world of lucid dreaming in the human history. An improvement for suggestions, therefore, but nearly without advices for practice.
So, for now, I'll do my best for the practical aspect of the thing.
